I’ve downloaded many games free and ‘paid for’ on my iPhone 4 over the past year but the key test is which ones are still installed on the phone, and which have dropped back to iTunes never to be played again!

Here is the list of games which stand the test of time on my own iPhone…

#1 Fruit Ninja

Still play this almost daily, in my opinion the best mobile game ever…  Slash the fruit to score points while avoiding the bombs.  Very addictive…

#2 iBasket

Nice and simple this one, but again a game that’s great to go back to regularly when you have a spare minutes.  A free version is available but I paid the full 59 pence to remove the ads…

Tap on the screen to give a trajectory and the ball is thrown up and towards the basket. Simple game play at it’s best.

#3 Doodle Jump

Very addictive and simple. Just tilt the iPhone left or right as your doodle-jumper bounces up the screen. Land on the platforms (or on alien’s heads!) to get as high as you can.

#4 Real Racing 2

More in depth than the top 3 iPhone games but can still be played quickly in Time Trial (with ‘ghost car’) or Quick Race modes.  Also includes full campaign modes, and an array of cars and tracks. Amazing graphics and game play with driver aids to suit all levels (my 4 year old daughter managed to complete a lap using auto-everything!).

Will post UK  iTunes links and my other games choices soon.
